PSG confirmed 10 players put on sale to raise funds to execute Messi deal
PSG stars will be overjoyed by the thought of playing alongside the greatest player of all-time in Lionel Messi next season many won’t get the chance.
The former Barcelona superstar, who left the club this week following 17 first-team seasons and 672 goals across 778 appearances – is set to find a new challenge in France.
Although he won’t cost the club a transfer fee, they will be adding his wages on top of the likes of Kylian Mbappe, Neymar, and Messi’s former rival Sergio Ramos among others.
That looks to have forced sporting director Leonardo and manager Mauricio Pochettino to review their playing squad – and consider many potential departures before the transfer window slams shut.

PSG are ready to force several first team players out the door this summer
The Athletic report that while PSG do have the funds to get Messi the contract he desires, they are looking to trim their wage bill to avoid any further overspending.
Their transfer list is said to include 10 different first-team players including the likes of Mauro Icardi and Ander Herrera despite their desire to stay.
Further names include former Everton midfielder Idrissa Gueye, ex-Barcelona star Rafinha, as well as Abdou Diallo and Thilo Kehrer.
While the further four players are not named in the report, it appears as though not many of those who were at the club before the summer are safe from outgoing deals.
