Mbappe leaves France camp ahead of Ukraine and Finland World Cup Qualifiers
There was more disappointment for Kylian Mbappe on Thursday as he was forced to leave France’s camp early with a calf injury.
The Paris Saint-Germain forward picked up the problem in the draw against Bosnia on Wednesday and has since undergone tests which have ruled him out of Les Bleus’ fixtures against Ukraine and Finland. The 22-year-old has returned to the French capital to continue treatment at his club.
It’s a frustrating close to what has been a stressful week for the young forward after his dream move to Real Madrid failed to materialise at the end of the transfer window.
Los Blancos kept insisting until the last moment, but PSG refused to sell, even if it now likely means they will lose him for nothing. Real Madrid remain focused on tying up a pre-contract in January.
