Pedri opens up on his prefered position and debut Spain call-up
“The position where I like to play the most is in the centre. Being behind the striker, being able to give that final pass that I love so much, that’s the position I’d choose. But I’m here for whatever the coach says and to play in whatever position he says,” Pedri has told Club del Deportista.
This term so far, the 18-year-old has played 41 matches, recording three goals and six assists. As per Transfermarkt, Pedri has played 24 games as an attacking midfielder, nine as a central midfielder and six as a left winger.
His confident displays for Barcelona has won Pedri his first senior call-up for Spain. Here’s how the youngster has reacted to it: “Well, for me it’s a prize, which I face with a lot of desire and enthusiasm.”
